I have known Polly for a little while now and was delighted when she asked me to do her wedding make up!
She was actually having two weddings, one in Cardiff and the other in Nice! I got to do the Cardiff one (no room in her suitcase for Nice!)
She came in with her sister to have a trial which was just like having the girls over as we probably chatted more than did make up, but we got the look Polly wanted which was slightly vintage but just simple and flawless.
Om the day I went over to Celtic Manor, we were in the presidential suit which was like stepping into an episode of the Kardashians!
We set to work, to emphasise Polly’s eyes I used pinky brown tones from the urban decay Naked3 palette, an extended wing eyeliner in brown and some individual flare lashes. For her skin I used an Arbonne cc cream mixed with a little mac face and body, this gave a good coverage and then used arbonne mineral powder and a soft pink blush to give a healthy glow. To finish we went for a pinkish brown on the lips using mac’s faux and sublime culture lip liner.
Polly has so much hair, she wanted it up to go with the vintage feel of the dress and had a stunning head-piece to go with it. We curled it al first and to get extra volume we back combed through the top. At the back it was simply gathered and pinned in place, Polly wanted it to look like it was more of a thrown together style rather than neat and tidy.
I can only imagine what an amazing day Polly had in Cardiff and also in Nice….. Congratulations!
