I have been a little slack getting this post up on the blog, I am not quite sure where the past two weeks have gone!
So two weeks ago I went along to Ellen’s mums house to get her and her bridal party ready for her big day.
I had seen them all for trials a month before and I can definitely say I have never had so many people in my studio at one time, it turned out to be a really girlie afternoon!
On the morning of the wedding it was pretty grey outside but the mood inside definitely was not, the morning flew by with lots of laughter.
For Ellen’s Make up we went with a slightly smoked out eye, using browns to give definition. I used individual flare lashes to enhance the eyes and kept the skin natural using mac face and body.
For Ellen’s hair I wanted to create a soft curl but when I just curled it at the trial it didn’t quite look right so we went for a softer glamour wave, to do this I curled the hair all in the same direction and then once it had cooled I used a soft bristle brush and brushed it all through. Once i sprayed it with hairspray, all of elen’s hair pretty much became one curl and with the veil and head piece it looked stunning!
The bridesmaids all wore beautiful Cadbury’s purple dresses, as this was a bright colour we kept the make up fairly natural and went for a standard look of defined eyes and natural skin. For their hair Ellen wanted them all to have a braid in the hair somewhere but didn’t mind if they had different styles.
As I left the bridesmaids were piling into a gorgeous vintage car to take them all to the church.
I have a lovely morning working with you ladies and I hope your day was fab!
